In Hyperview version 5.7 and later, SAML SSO 2.0 integration is available. How can I configure SSO login to Hyperview with Workspace ONE?

Step One: Add the Hyperview SAML SSO Configuration Metadata XML File to Workspace ONE

  1. Login to Hyperview as an Administrator.
  2. Navigate to the Account Management page.
  3. Open the SAML SSO Configuration section.
  4. Under Service Provider (Hyperview), select "Metadata file and Certificate" data export method.
  5. Click the Download Metadata button and save the XML file.

Step Two: Create a new SaaS Application in Workspace ONE

  1. On the Definition page add a name for the SaaS Application (e.g. "Hyperview SSO").
  2. On the Configuration page select "URL/XML" as the configuration. Paste the entire content of the metadata XML file you downloaded from your Hyperview instance in step one.
  3. Save the new SaaS Application.

Note: You can customize the access policies and custom attribute mapping if desired.

Step Three: Edit the Hyperview SaaS Application in Workspace ONE

  1. Edit the new SaaS Application that was created in step two.
  2. Navigate to the Configuration page.
  3. Scroll down on the configuration page to the Username Format option. Change the value to Email.
  4. Scroll down on the configuration page to the Username Value field. Set the field value to ${user.email}.
  5. Save the SaaS Application configuration.

Note that Hyperview uses email address for user authentication on local accounts and for SSO authentication, hence the requirement to validate email address for the username format and value. If the email associated to the user in Hyperview does not match the email address for that user in Workspace ONE, then authentication will fail.

Step Four: Add the Workspace ONE Identity Provider (IdP) Metadata URL to Hyperview

  1. Navigate to Resources > Web Apps in Workspace ONE.
  2. Click the Settings button and select SAML Metedata.
  3. Copy the Identity Provider link.
  4. Login to Hyperview as an Administrator and navigate to the SAML SSO Configuration section of the Account Management page.
  5. Under the Identity Provider section, select Metadata URL as the data import method.
  6. Paste the Identity Provider link in the metatdata URL field.
  7. Click Save.

Step Five: Test Authentication

  1. Using an existing local user in Hyperview who is also defined as a user or part of a user group assigned to the SaaS Application in Workspace ONE, login to Hyperview with the "Sign in with SSO" option.
