On the subject of cameras, there are multiple use-cases where the camera as an asset would serve meaning in Hyperview.

Direct Camera Access
Discovered or manually created cameras can be launched from Hyperview by using the Launch Web Interface button. Some customers find that using Hyperview to determine the physical location of the camera and then launching it directly can be more constructive.

Escalated Camera Alarms
IP Cameras or security cameras with SNMP traps can be configured for Hyperview to receive those traps and generate alarms. Traps may include events such as motion detection, tampering protection, storage failures, environmental thresholds, and network status.

Inventory Management
This one is a given which you already mentioned, but Hyperview can be used for general asset management of the cameras. Documentation storage, change logging, lifecycle management, network connectivity, identification information, etc...
